Life can feel a little bit like holding your breath under the water. Why do we fight the natural inclination to be raised up from the water? Why do we hold ourselves under the suffocating water?
The message for this week takes us the baptism of Jesus, where the Beloved One of God submits himself to fullness of our human condition in the waters of baptism. He descends into the murky waters of our existence, but he is not held under these suffocating waters. Jesus is raised up from the water to a place of revelation, where the already presence of God is made known!
Why do we fight against this same force that seeks to pull us up from the water? Why do we resist being raised with Christ to a place of revelation, where the already presence of God in our life is made known?
