Life Resurrected: Being Alive to God in the Simplicity and the Subtly of a Strawberry

Strawberry“I thought to myself, ‘This is the best strawberry I’ve ever had in my life.” Not because of where it came from, but because of what it came to represent for me…In that moment, I tasted what God has to offer: the beauty of the now; the very natural; the blessing of what is already before us. And, there before me was the beauty of God’s creation, the beauty of God’s presence, in a simple strawberry.”

Unable to attend a worship service this morning? Here is a message delivered a couple years ago, which considers the question, “What does it mean to be alive to God?”

The message, Life Resurrected, focuses upon the words of Paul, “So, consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Jesus Christ.” (Romans 6:11)

Being alive to God is not just a future reality; being alive to God is also a present experience. A new life with God in Jesus Christ will be fully realized on a future day (the day of resurrection); but, a foretaste of this new life is available in our present reality.

By sharing in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are capable of walking in a newness of life today. Being alive to God is a present reality by sharing in a newness of life though repentance, faith, and allegiance to Jesus!

Being alive to God does not always look or feel like the grand or the spectacular; rather, being alive to God is often experienced in the simple, the subtle, and the serene…like biting into a freshly picked strawberry!

If you have a moment, have a listen to Life ResurrectedConsider what it means to be alive to God in Jesus Christ; and, hear how a simple strawberry revealed the glory of God’s presence and the power of God’s love in the most subtle way!

Blessings to you all on this Sunday!
